Application and advantages of RTO in synthetic material production
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are often produced during furniture manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and the production of synthetic materials (such as melamine panels, semiconductor manufacturing, and circuit board production). These waste gases are potentially harmful to the environment and human health. To solve this problem, RTO (regenerative thermal oxidizer) equipment came into being.
The RTO incinerator is highly efficient waste gas treatment equipment, mainly used in industrial scenarios to treat high-concentration volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odorous gases. Through high-temperature combustion, RTO can convert harmful gases into carbon dioxide and water vapor, thereby meeting environmental emission standards. Especially in the case of large air volumes and low pollutant concentrations, the internal heat storage ceramic body of RTO can recover the heat generated during the combustion process, greatly reducing energy consumption and operating costs.
Main features of RTO equipment:
1. High processing efficiency--The RTO equipment can achieve a treatment efficiency of over 90% for organic waste gas, and the three-chamber RTO can even achieve a purification efficiency of up to 99%, completely oxidizing organic pollutants into harmless substances.
2. Energy saving and environmental protection--RTO significantly reduces fuel consumption by recovering the heat energy generated by exhaust gas combustion and using it to preheat the subsequent incoming exhaust gas. There is no secondary pollution after exhaust gas treatment, fully complying with environmental protection standards.
3. Stable and reliable operation--The equipment is designed to have a long service life, stable performance during operation, and can sustainably and efficiently treat exhaust gas to meet the needs of long-term industrial use.
4. Highly adaptable--It is suitable for the treatment of waste gas with different components, such as waste gas containing phenolic resin, epoxy resin, or other organic solvents.
5. Comply with environmental regulations--RTO equipment can meet the requirements of international and local environmental regulations, providing a guarantee for corporate environmental compliance.


RTO waste gas treatment process
The core principle of RTO is to heat the exhaust gas to above 760 °C so that the VOC in the exhaust gas is decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. The specific process is as follows:
1. Heat storage preheating--The exhaust gas is first preheated through the ceramic heat storage body to reduce the fuel consumption required for subsequent heating.
2. High temperature oxidation--VOC is oxidized and decomposed in the high temperature area to produce carbon dioxide and water.
3.Heat recovery--The high-temperature gas generated after oxidation flows through the ceramic heat storage body, storing the heat for heating the incoming exhaust gas.
4.Cleaning process--Each heat storage chamber needs to be cleaned with clean air after heat release to avoid the discharge of untreated VOC with the air flow, ensuring that the removal rate is greater than 98%.

Application of RTO in our equipment
According to customer needs, we can equip impregnation lines or press equipment (such as melamine impregnation lines, fireproof board presses, and copper-clad laminate presses) with RTO equipment to achieve efficient exhaust gas purification and environmentally friendly emissions. Multiple equipment can also share one RTO system; for example, the exhaust gas from melamine paper impregnation lines and fireproof board presses can be centrally treated, thereby reducing costs and improving system efficiency.
