Nowadays, melamine décor paper is a beautiful and real surface decorative material. But when producing MFC(melamine faced chipboard), there will still be some problems.
A, Melamine paper stick on press plate. There are some factors:
1, Hot press time is short. The temp is low or nonuniform heating, which makes the resin inadequate solidified.
2, Plain board moisture content is too high.
3, Glue pick-up of impregnated paper.
4, Press plate surface is not clean, or the mold release agent is using incorrect.
5, The board position is not accurate.
Paper stick around the edge of press plate, that’s because the edge temperature is too low or the position is not accurate. The resin was inadequately solidified. Thus, properly increasing the temperature or prolonging the hot press time is an effective way to solve such problems.
B, Board bending and warpage
1, From the perspective of hot pressing, the warpage of the board is due to the excessive temperature difference between the upper and lower press plates. Which makes glue curing speed on both sides of the board is not synchronized. The board will bend to the fast curing side. Thus, the appropriate temperature difference between the upper and lower hot plate should be 3 to 5 degrees higher than the lower hot plate.
2, From the perspective of material, the performance of two sides of impregnated paper will also cause the bend of the board. Using the same quality paper or adjusting the temperature of two side will decrease the bending situation.
